Get Schooled was founded in 2010 through a partnership with Viacom and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Their mission is to empower and engage young people and to give them the tools and inspiration to get the education they need to succeed. They use their digital platform, gamification, and a recipe they call ‘sizzle and substance’ to inspire and engage students. Since launch they’ve had more than 10 million visits to their site and have built a community of close to a million young people attending nearly 11,000 middle schools, high schools, and colleges throughout the United States.
A grant that supports the design, build, and scaling of JobLaunch.org, a digital hiring platform, as well as a related marketing and communications campaign for Opportunity Youth. The marketing campaign will drive Opportunity Youth users to JobLaunch’s innovative digital platform that includes resources, support, job postings, and data collection to prepare and connect them to jobs and, ultimately, help get them hired.
