Responsive Giving
Our Approach

Animal Welfare  |  Basic Needs  |  Disaster Relief  |  Health & Education  |  Homelessness

While the Schultz Family Foundation focuses the bulk of our investments on programs that have a national impact, we are strongest when our communities are healthy and interconnected. Unfortunately, we are experiencing a national homelessness crisis that is leaving more and more people without a safety net, and communities around the world are being devastated by natural disasters. We believe this critical moment requires each of us to do what we can to make life better for others. Being responsive to human suffering is both a guiding principle and a reminder of our shared humanity.

Homelessness, in particular, is a significant interest of the Foundation and we work, primarily in Washington State, with organizations committed to providing safe and stable housing for either youth, young adults, or families with children. Educational initiatives and the well-being of animals are also very important to us. We’re proud to embrace organizations and causes including those featured. We are all “citizens of the world” and, together, we can lift each other up.
