Giovana Espejo serves as a Program Officer at the Schultz Family Foundation, where she is dedicated to expanding pathways for young adults to thrive. Having worked across a range of youth-development and education organizations, Giovana centers her work on young people’s transitions to college, career, and beyond. Within these spaces, she has partnered alongside young people and their communities to support their success. She brings a relationship-centered lens to her work, seeking out solutions that are not only promising but also sustainable and grounded in the experiences of the young adults they serve.
Driven by a deep commitment to economic mobility, Giovana focuses her work at the Foundation on closing the opportunity gap for young people who face barriers to the tools and resources they need to learn about, prepare for, and secure economically mobile careers. She helps lead the Foundation’s career navigation portfolio, supporting efforts that empower young adults to discover career paths, build critical job skills, and confidently navigate the job market. Giovana graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, was selected as a National Urban Fellow, and earned a Master of Policy Management from Georgetown University’s McCourt School of Public Policy.
