At the Schultz Family Foundation, we work to create greater economic opportunity, accessible to all people, with a focus on young people entering adulthood.

We invest in unleashing potential and unlocking opportunity, working in partnership with employers, entrepreneurs, nonprofit organizations, governments and other philanthropies that share our aspiration of enabling everyone to access the full promise of America.

Multi-sector Partnership

By leveraging the power of partnership among philanthropy, business, government and nonprofit organizations, we design and create innovative solutions to solve some of our country’s toughest problems.

Prototyping

We seed, co-design, and prototype effective solutions with potential for national scale that can have long-term sustainability.

Gathering Data

We gather research and data from our partners and their lived experiences to identify the scope of the problem, current trends, and where there may be seeds of opportunity.

By determining what new information might be needed, we forge learning loops with partners and within our own work to continuously seek out opportunities to accelerate impact.

Proofs of Concept

With our investments and the work of our partners we seek to develop proofs of concept. We fund innovative ideas to demonstrate feasibility, while identifying potential challenges, and iterating to assess effectiveness.

Iterating

Once we have identified a potential proof of concept, we will iterate to refine, mitigate risk, and show proof of scalability.

Scaling

We will use the concept, including impact data, to advocate for public funding, where appropriate, and cross-sector investment to scale the solution.
